Balanced
injector flow rate and proper fuel atomization is key to
obtaining peak HP. Effective injector testing will usually
uncover a potential power loss. It is not unusual to compare
same sets of injectors and find variations that affect
power output. Verification through flow testing is the
best way to guarantee you have a competitive edge. We can
also help you determine the proper injector for a custom
motor application.
Injector servicing consists of the following:
- Test
and obtain a base line of each used injector including
spray patterns, flow rate and pintle leakage to determine
if cleaning is necessary
- Measure
injector windings to determine correct internal resistance
under load
- Disassemble
injectors ( i.e. hoses, pintle caps, seals and screens)
- Ultra-sonic
cleaning including pulsed injector operation during cleaning
process
- Back
flush procedure to remove internal contaminants
- Spray
pattern and flow rate testing to obtain balanced results
- Leak
down testing to ensure pintle sealing
- Final
injector cleaning and refinishing with epoxy coating
- Final
assembly (new hoses, caps, seals, and screens as needed)
- All
information and data comparisons of each injector is downloaded
and presented to you in a comparison report with graph
The
price for most conventional (not side feed) injector
servicing is $29.95 each plus parts (typically $4 to
$5 per injector).
Removal of injectors from the car is additional
labor.
Turn around time is usually 24 hours.
